Mission and Vision

Mission of the Institute

The institute’s mission is to inspire, train,, and sustain future generations of leaders, policymakers, and public servants who can  champion good  governance and drive institutional transformation across Africa – line with the democratic ideas of the great Zik of Africa.

Objectives of the Institute

  1. To develop a well-designed academic curriculum to enhance human capacity building at the certificate, diploma and postgraduate levels.
  2. To continuously organize the Annual Zik Lecture Series during which prominent leaders across the world are invited to share their views to inspire its students, and leaders of the society
  3. To organise seminars, symposiums, workshops, roundtables, conferences, etc.
  4. To engage in exchange programmes with other organisations across the world
  5. To establish the Zik Research Centre to house archives, literature, and scholarly works related to Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and his political philosophy.   

Vision of the Institute

The vision of the Institute is to create a premier pan-African centre dedicated to building intellectual and moral capacity in governance, democratic engagement and legislative competence; to inspire a new generation of African leaders grounded in integrity, intellectual capacity and democratic excellence.
